So a fun new hobby, or love, I have found is baseball. Between family connections and manifesting my WAG status, baseball has become a sport I love to watch and deep dive into.
The Phillies are my go-to team, but I also cheer for the Nationals, Orioles, Reds, and Guardians. These teams are in cities I visit often and have grown to appreciate. Baseball, being nationwide for both major and minor leagues, has a long summer season perfect for traveling to exciting destinations and enjoying the games along the way.
These past 3 weeks, I went to 3 different games in 3 different cities to see 5 of my go-to teams. Here is the breakdown of my ballpark weekends!
Dayton Dragons
Weekend 1 was spent going to my local Triple A stadium to see the Dayton Dragons. They are the local minor league team for the Cincinnati Reds Organization. I went to the game with 3 friends that are also from Dayton. We spent the game in seats behind the dugout, drinking and eating hotdogs. We won the game and also saw some great plays and home runs!
Cincinnati Reds
The next weekend was a Friday night game at the Reds Stadium. I went with 3 friends and we got seats along the third base line. The game ended up being delayed by the rain, but resulted in a more empty stadium. This was perfect for us because we got to sit a little closer to the field and see all the players. The Nationals happened to be in town, so it was fun being able to see 2 teams that I enjoy watching.

Afterwards my friends and I went to The Banks to celebrate the win and see some other people. We got to jump between bars ad restaurants in the closed down street between the Reds and Bengals Stadiums. Its a staple of Cincinnati, and a place I love being with friends.
Cleveland Guardians
This past weekend, I spent 24 hours in ‘The Land’ to see the first game of the Guards Phillies series. As a huge Philly fan, I was so excited to go and see a new stadium. I went with a close friend from college who now lives in Cleveland.
We started at Town Hall eating amazing appetizers and catching up over a bottle of wine. We then got the shuttle to the game and found our seats behind home plate. Sadly, the Phillies lost, but the vibes were immaculate. We met up with some Cleveland friends and walked around the stadium to see everything it has.

While I am no expert, I have really loved finding a new hobby and love in baseball. Whether it’s eating a hotdog in a ballpark seat, watching a certain player hit a home run, or envision what my future will look like, I truly love the sport and all that comes with it. Learning and sharing my baseball experiences with my people makes this hobby one of my favorites!
